Poker Is a Metaphor for Life

Hi Everyone!

Quick update before we dive into this weeks blog...

Blog:

In poker, specifically Texas Hold Em, the best starting hand you can be dealt is Two Aces aka "Pocket Aces."  Conversely, the worst starting hand you can be dealt is a "two" and a "seven" of different suits aka "2/7 off suit."

The great thing about poker is even though we may be dealt the worst starting hand, we can choose to play it like the best hand.  The players will not know any different.

In life, we may not always be dealt the best starting hand, but WE ALL have the choice to choose to play the hand we are dealt like Aces.  We can choose to play our starting hand like the best hand possible and the world will not know any different.

The point is this: we have a tremendous amount of power available to us.  We can choose to look at a situation as "2/7 off suit" or we can choose to look at a situation as "aces," or we can choose to look at it as anything in between.

Learning how to see the "aces" in life is one of the most powerful skills you will ever learn.

Watch this short video I recorded below to learn more about how Poker is a metaphor for life.

Does "Shit" Happen for a Reason?

 Hello Everyone!

I hope this blog finds you doing well and living life the best you can.

I firmly believe everything happens for a reason. Even the toughest... the shittiest parts of life, I believe there is a reason to those as well.

The challenge that we all face is to look for the reason, the more empowering perspective, so that when the "shit" does happen, which it will - to all of us, we can deal with it and move forward vs. let it consume us and dictate our lives.

I recorded a short video for You where I talk more in depth about this.  I hope you find this video to be of value.

Enjoy.

Carpe Diem,

Jesse
