If you are a stress sufferer or know someone who is, I thought you might value this helpful resource.
In one of the recent Weekly Wisdom Training's (a free training I host every week on my Facebook Page) I covered stress, the costs of it, and how it often affects us much more deeply than we may acknowledge.
I wanted to make sure you have access to it!
Fast forward to about the 7:10 mark as that's where the training gets going. There are about 10 minutes or so at the end that is all Q&A.
If you have any questions about it just hit reply to this email.
Have you ever let food go
bad? Have you ever forgotten about a piece of fruit, only to be
reminded about it a week later because the smell of it become
overwhelming?
When food expires it stinks and is no
longer edible. When the trash can gets to full it smells and it is no
longer usable, thus it needs to be emptied.
The same is true for our life.
"Stuff" goes in and out of our lives. If we hold onto the expired
"stuff," we limit ourselves and our ability to move forward and enjoy
life to the fullest.
Much in the same way that if we
only ate expired, rotten food, we not only would miss out on enjoying
the taste of fresh food, but we probably would not last that long on
that kind of diet.
In this short video below, I explain why it is so crucial that you get rid of the expired "stuff" in your life
Quick update before we dive into this weeks blog...

Blog:
In poker, specifically Texas Hold Em, the best starting hand you
can be dealt is Two Aces aka "Pocket Aces." Conversely, the worst
starting hand you can be dealt is a "two" and a "seven" of different
suits aka "2/7 off suit."
The great thing about poker is even though we may be dealt the
worst starting hand, we can choose to play it like the best hand. The
players will not know any different.
In life, we may not always
be dealt the best starting hand, but WE ALL have the choice to choose to
play the hand we are dealt like Aces. We can choose to play our
starting hand like the best hand possible and the world will not know
any different.
The point is this: we have a tremendous
amount of power available to us. We can choose to look at a situation
as "2/7 off suit" or we can choose to look at a situation as "aces," or
we can choose to look at it as anything in between.
Learning how to see the "aces" in life is one of the most powerful skills you will ever learn.
Watch this short video I recorded below to learn more about how Poker is a metaphor for life.
We place a value on everything in life. We use two primary commodities to assign value to things: Time and Money.
Those are, for most of us, the simplest, most tangible ways to place value on something.
If I were to ask you a few questions I am willing to bet you can answer them fairly quickly:
How much would you spend on a new car? A designer pair of jeans? A shirt? A new pair of shoes?
You have a picture in your head of each of those and a dollar amount that you have already determined they are worth.
What
if I changed the question just a little bit. Instead of asking you
about tangible things like a car, what if I changed and asked you about
things that are not quite so tangible.
How much would you
spend on your health? Your happiness? The relationships with your
friends and family? Waking up feeling excited vs waking up feeling
angry about having to wake up?
These questions are a little tougher to answer, right?
Why
is it that it is so easy for us to put a value on material things and
so challenging for us to put a value on the things that really should
matter most?
I the below video I talk about this and why it is so important for you to place a high value on yourself.
What are your key takeaways from today's blog? What is your value? I would l love to hear your thoughts. Please leave a comment below.
